Tugu Peringatan Tok Janggut

Built by the Pasir Puteh District Council in 2005. In memory of Haji Muhammad Hassan bin Munas or better known as ‘Tok Janggut', during the era of Malay opposition against British occupation. Located in downtown Pasir Puteh.

Tok Janggut Memorial Elements:
1.    Semutar – the normal clothing for Malays and warriors of yesteryear, closely linked to Islamic influences, and a following of a sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W.
2.    Keris – a traditional Malay weapon of choice for warriors and guardsmen
3.    Spear – another traditional Malay weapon used for guard duty and self defence.
